The 2016 AGM of the Association was very well attended, with 40 members coming along to hear about the work and achievements of the Association over the past year.
Chair, John Hajdu delivered his report, covering all aspects of the Association’s activities by the various committee members. The full report of the meeting is available on the website: (www.mhfga.org).
John said that the Association now has over 750 members, an excellent Newsletter which is published 6 times a year, a comprehensive website, as well as a Twitter Account, a Facebook page and a Notice Board near Sainsbury’s in Muswell Hill.
One of the things John mentioned was the importance of members’ participation in the activities of the Association; for example: helping to find speakers, organising meetings, assisting with maintaining the flower beds and plant containers in Muswell Hill, and helping deliver the Newsletters.
John gave thanks to all Committee members and other members who gave of their time already and said: “Any organisation is what its members make of it”, and it was encouraging to see so many members attending the meeting.
The evening was hosted by the Mossy Well pub: the food was delicious and plentiful.
