Jacksons Lane is proud to have been at the heart of north London’s cultural and artistic community for over 40 years. However, we are a charity and each year must raise a fifth of our turnover from the generosity of our supporters. This year, we are running a special Christmas Appeal.
Since we first opened in 1975, we have invited local older and disabled people to spend Christmas Day with us, hosting a Christmas meal and party for those who would otherwise be spending the day alone. The day is entirely volunteer-led, from drivers to entertainers to turkey-cookers to Santa. Some volunteers have been helping out for over 20 years, making it as much of a Christmas tradition in their families as stockings, carols and turkey.
To keep this wonderful annual event going, we rely on donations from our local community. A £20 donation means we will be able to provide one of our guests with transport on the day, a three-course meal, Christmas tea and a Christmas gift, and will help us book entertainment and decorate Jacksons Lane to make sure it’s truly festive!
We would love you to be a part of this very special day in the heart of our community.
