Following on from the success of last year’s “A Very Merry Muswell”, Friends of St James Square have been busy raising funds for a tree in St James Square, Muswell Hill.
Join us for the tree lighting, which will also feature an appearance by the Muswell Hill Brass band and local carol singers alongside our Christmas market (starts at noon).
Chloe Potter, TV reporter and newscaster will be turning the lights on at 4pm. Chloe lives on Hillfield Park with her husband and two little boys and is very happy to be part of Muswell Hill’s wonderful community. During her career as a broadcast journalist, she has worked for Sky News, Sky Arts, Magic FM and Monocle 24. You can currently see her reading the news on Channel 5. Chloe said “I am SO excited to be turning on the lights! Stuff of dreams!”
A Very Merry Muswell will also be getting into the Christmas spirit with a carousel, Santa’s Grotto and The Christmas Experience (over at St James Church, opposite).
Our market will once again feature goods made or sold by the good people of Muswell Hill. There are many creative businesses in N10 who do not have a shop front. We are offering them the opportunity to share their talents with North London in our Christmas market https://muswellife.com/xmas-market/.
Deanna Bogdanovic, of the BonaFideStudio and Friends of St James Square, said: “After the success of our Midsummer Muswell, we are really excited about A Very Merry Muswell – just the thing to get everyone in a festive mood!”
There’s still time to help us reach our target. Please email [email protected] for ways to donate and sponsor this event.
Who are Friends of St James Square?
We are a community group looking to improve the area, engage with local people living in Muswell Hill to encourage involvement and a sense of pride and to make N10 a better place to live.
