MHFGA / Haringey Police Presentation and Q&A – Thursday 12th April 2018, 7.45pm, at North Bank, Pages Lane, N10 1PP

In response to the recent increase in local interest in crime and policing, we are pleased to announce a presentation by Haringey Police, including a Q&A session, at the April MHFGA Meeting. Inspector Kevin Blenkinsopp, Sergeant Peter Tarrant, Constable Alan Rankin and Community Safety Officer David Shipp will speak on the following topics:

The Met’s new website; CCTV coverage on the Broadway; Fortismere School students on the Broadway in the afternoons; theft from motor vehicles; theft of motor vehicles; crime and disorder around nightclubs; and any other areas of concern.

As always, members and non-members alike are welcome. Please spread the word amongst your friends and neighbours! Tea and coffee will be available at the end of the event.

Fortis Green parking bay

As a result of a long-running MHFGA campaign, Haringey Council have removed a redundant parking bay from Fortis Green, near its junction with Fortis Green Road. Double yellow lines have now been painted along this stretch of road. This will mean that buses are no longer blocked by cars parked here. This issue had been causing problems for years and we are delighted to see that the traffic is now flowing much more smoothly in the area.

MHFGA on social media!

We are active on social media and would love you to follow us. We regularly post updates on local developments and events, plus beautiful photographs of the area.

On Facebook we are @MuswellHillandFortisGreenAssociation and on Instagram we are @mhfga.

MHFGA is your local residents’ association (since 1948!) We produce six bi-monthly newsletters per year, which are distributed to over 750 members. Membership is just £10 a year and gives you the chance to attend our special events. In 2017 we held the popular ‘Odd One Out’ competition and hosted a guided tour of the Victorian Theatre at Alexandra Palace. Later in 2018 we will be organising a guided tour of Highgate Cemetery. To join MHFGA and be kept up to date on local issues and our planned activities, visit www.mhfga.org/membership or email our Membership Secretary on [email protected]
