MidSummer Muswell 2017 will be back for a third year on Saturday 24th June in St James Square and St James Church, Muswell Hill.
By the time this article goes to press, we will have held our first AGM for Friends of St James Square Limited, the organising committee behind MidSummer Muswell and A Very Merry Muswell. Do take a look at our website for how the company is doing, how we brought Muswell Hill its very own Christmas tree with the thanks of a Haringey grant, and more importantly how you can join and support our events.
The MidSummer Muswell team are now busy with preparations and this year’s theme will be Carnival. There will be something for all: belly dancers, live music, brass band, local dance groups and our always well received market (stalls available). Look out also for our carnival mask making stall, Guess the weight of the cake competition and of course face painters.
New addition to Friends of St James Square Gillian White said: ‘This is our third MidSummer Muswell and we are going from strength to strength. With the carnival theme we are hoping to start summer in Muswell Hill with a colourful bang’.
Jaqueline Goldenstein added: ‘Everyone enjoyed our markets last year. We are hoping to be even bigger and better this year. If you would like to book a stall, sing, dance or show off some other amazing talent and be part of this wonderful local event please contact [email protected]’
If you are a local business (or family) with an interest in our lovely and vibrant local community then do consider supporting this event. Friends of St James Square is a not for profit charitable organisation manned by volunteers, which has been set up specifically for the benefit of the local community and therefore also local businesses.
We are looking for offers of sponsorship (small and large) but also have advertising opportunities within our Festival brochure. Every penny really does count so whatever you think you can donate to help put on this fantastic local event will be very gratefully received.
Or email us on [email protected]
With thanks from all the team at Friends of St James Square Limited
