Editor’s Note July/August 2017

There’s nothing like a fast moving change to knock the complacency right out of you. A recent turn of events has had me running at top speed (I’m more of a meander-through-the-wheat-field rather than a sprinter; but needs must so I have had to step up my game), juggling more balls than I thought I could manage; and although I can see some light at the end of the tunnel there’s still a way to go before I can stop and take a breather. Nothing bad has happened (I was dealt a bit of a curved ball) but the benefit of being pushed outside my comfort zone is it has made me re-evaluate some previous hastily-made decisions that had been playing on my mind and kick me into action about things I have been prevaricating about.

Changing things is difficult and change doesn’t carry any guarantees.  That thought generally leads us to remain within the boundaries of where we feel comfortable rather than face the fear of venturing beyond them. But by limiting ourselves to what we already know, we’re likely to be missing out on so many opportunities. The hardest part is taking the first step.

Regardless of whether your hand is forced or you decide to take a leap of faith, the one huge benefit is, when you step out of your comfort zone, THAT’S where the magic happens.

So, if you’ve been thinking about doing “Something”  “Someday” – don’t wait for it to come to you – grab the chance and make “Someday” TODAY. And once the magic happens, let me know all about it!
