You may have seen Jocasi bags sported on the arms of various Mums and daughters around the area, and in the press.
For me, the iconic wide leather Moon belts are a must-have staple in every wardrobe.
The operation is run from a fabulous studio, underneath the Parkland Walk, in 180 year old Arches. They are open to the public, and lots of ladies in the know frequently pop in to see Jocasi’s latest Collection of bags and belts. The doors are always open, so when I heard about this, I decided to take a little peek in their studio whilst out and about in Muswell Hill…
Carla and Simon, the brains behind the business, were once a married team, but are now happy just as business partners. “We don’t fight any more, so we can focus all our energy into the business!” You may associate Jocasi with Topshop or Selfridges, but these days it’s a truly International operation, and of course, online. “www.jocasi.com is now where it all happens” says Simon, who runs the business and strategic side. “We have just had a stunning, brand new website built, which goes live today, finally”.
Charli in Muswell Hill have the most fantastic high end Jocasi Collection in store.
“Lots of Mums from our children’s school, Tethedown Primary, swing by to see whats new, when walking their dogs, or on their way to NLPA”, says Carla. Even if fashions not your bag, (excuse the pun!) it really is worthwhile seeing the incredible studios Jocasi have created, a gentrified arch with all the original brickwork and flocked wallpaper, it really has the most unique feel and incredible energy. .
Pop in the next time you pass by… you’ll be made to feel most welcome.
