What have you been reading lately?

‘The Time Traveller’s Wife’ and ‘Journey of Souls’

Who is the most influential person in your life?

I draw inspiration from a lot of people. My late piano teacher Slava Gabrielov was definitely a big influence, however.

Which song do you wish you had written?

‘Song to the Siren’, Tim Buckley

We’re at the bar. What are you drinking?

A ginger beer. Though I have been known to ask for a coffee at bars before.

Who would you dread getting stuck in a lift with?

A mouse!!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I went through several stages including astronaut, clown and classical pianist

If you were a London tube station, which one would you be?

St Pancras, where all the pianos are.

I live there
