What are you listening to right now?
How did you get into music?
I was introduced to guitar and piano from a very early age. It’s been a bit of an obsession since then.
Who do you follow religiously on Twitter?
I’m always fascinated with Nic Muhly’s (@nicomuhly) tweets. His posts are always entertaining. He’s constantly able to get across his personality and sharp wit.
What have you been reading lately?
Joseph Jacobs “English Fairy Tales”. I read it time and again when writing music as it evokes so many worlds my music often represents.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
My girlfriend is. She’s the sounding board for pretty much everything I do.
Which song do you wish you had written?
So, so many, but one would be “Why We Build The Wall” by Anias Mitchell.
We’re at the bar. What are you drinking?
I’m living in Brooklyn at the moment so I’ve been enjoying all the microbrew beer here. There’s so many, and often they’re no good, but it’s worth it for the gems.
Who would you dread getting stuck in a lift with?
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A composer and songwriter, luckily.
What are you looking forward to in 2014?
I’m in talks to write a feature film score and I’m already in the process of writing another album
What gigs, songs or albums are you promoting at the moment?
“The Storm”, which is my debut album is out on the 28th of Feb, and I’ll be releasing the track “Sticks & Stones” as a single shortly after.
