Hello people and thank you for taking the time to read the latest edition of The Music Connection.
This month, I had the great pleasure of interviewing a musician singer who’s creating quite a huge stir on the live music circuit in London, as well as on You Tube; its singer/ songwriter Georgie Keller.
Q. So Georgie, how did you first get into music?
A. When I was about 8, I really wanted to play guitar, as I thought the idea of it was cool (like many people); so for my birthday I got a really cheap little acoustic guitar and I somehow managed to teach myself how to play it within a year or so. I’m still not really sure how I managed to teach myself to play the guitar, as I’m actually quite an impatient person! Then, between the ages of from the ages of about 9 & 14; myself and a couple of friends were in a band, which made me realise my love performing.
Q. What do you think are your biggest achievements with music so far?
A. A few big achievements for me personally are working with some of the biggest producers in the country right now, ‘Mojam Music’. These guys really are incredible and working with them has definitely inspired me to write more and just work harder. Check them out at www.twitter.com/mojammusic.
Q. What projects are you up to at the moment?
A. At the moment, I’m mainly working on writing with a lot of different writers. I’m also trying to do as many gigs as possible to help grow my following and improve as a performer, which I feel is very important with any artist.
Q. Who are your favourite music artists?
A. A few of my favourite artists would have to be Ed Sheeran, John Mayer & Drake.
Q. Where can people check out your current projects? Any forthcoming gigs?
A. Anything that I’m up to, will always be posted on my Twitter @georgiekeller. Gig details will always be put on there, so make sure you’re following me!
Q. Who is your music most influenced by?
A. I would say my music is most influenced by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and maybe a little bit of One Direction.
Q. What do you like getting up to on your days off from music?
A. I love playing the Xbox with my mates, watching films and just chilling out. I’m actually quite a laid back person!
Q. What are your links with Crouch End & Muswell Hill?
A. I love coming to these parts of North London, as the people are really nice and it has a really cool vibe. I’m always around here.
Q. Final words to the people of North London?
A. Thank you for letting me have the opportunity to share a little bit about myself. All of my links are below if you would like to find me online!
