Christmas is a wonderful time of year for many of us – but it can also be extremely stressful!
What do you buy for someone that has everything? Socks, pyjamas, slippers AGAIN!…..or something that touches your loved ones’ emotions and brings a smile to their face? We suggest the latter, and the nice guys and girls at Snappy Snaps in Muswell Hill can help you achieve this.
Peter and his very friendly team of experienced and knowledgeable staff can help you choose your favourite images from your camera, smart phone, tablet or USB stick – and turn them into wonderful gifts for your family and friends to enjoy.
The list of gift ideas is endless. For example, it could be a personalised photo gift such as a mug, jigsaw or calendar (all of which are currently included in our 3 for 2 offer). Then there are the home décor items such as a canvas, a framed image or a high gloss panel. How about the old family video or cine reel that’s been stuck in the cupboard for years gathering dust? Imagine the joy that would bring when given as a gift on DVD.
We are also one of the few mini-labs remaining that develops straightforward 35mm film (colour or black and white) and can reprint from negatives, slides or duplicate and restore old photographs.
Our store’s refurbishment last January also incorporated a walk in portrait studio! Here we have the equipment and creativity to photograph families, babies, couples, corporate headshots, pets etc. creating beautiful images that you or your family will want to treasure forever.
If you don’t want to come out in the rain or wish to shop outside of opening hours, we also offer a 24 hour online order service from our website or via email where we will be happy to accommodate your requests.
Our presence on Muswell Hill Broadway for the last 13 years has meant that our customers have grown to love and trust our work and we look forward to continue welcoming back our very loyal existing customers as well as new ones into our store.
We leave you with 3 basic photography tips to help achieve some great results:
- Flash! – Many a photo has been ruined by the flash firing too close to a subject. Better to stand slightly further away and zoom in to avoid your friends and family looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost!
- The Rule of Thirds – Essentially photos look better when the subject isn’t centred. Imagine splitting your image into nine equal sections with two horizontal and two vertical lines overlaying the image (most cameras have a grid option which can appear on the screen to help you achieve this). Place items of interest onto these lines or at the intersections for a better composition.
- Space! – This one is not so technical but ensure you have enough space on your memory card or smart phone for those Christmas party pics! We can back up your existing images onto CD or DVD and then you can clear your card and start afresh!
