Seize the Moment!

Noah's Ark

Get involved in Children’s Hospice Week to help seriously ill children and their families

Children’s Hospice Week is the UK’s only awareness raising and fundraising week for children with a shortened life expectancy and the services, like Noah’s Ark, that support them.

This year the campaign focuses on how precious time is for families by capturing moments in time. For families this means showing what life is like – the positive moments and the more difficult times; and for services it means showcasing the wide range of support that helps families make the most of every moment.

Making moments count is always at the heart of the support Noah’s Ark provides to children and their families. During this special week the charity is encouraging its supporters and members of the public to get involved and “seize the moment”. This could be by fundraising, doing something crazy like a sky dive or perhaps simply sharing its work on social media.

Visit www.noahsarkhospice.org.uk for more details of how you can get involved and support Noah’s Ark, your local children’s hospice during Children’s Hospice Week. Please use the hashtag #Seizethemoment and #MomentsCount on social media.

About Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice

Noah’s Ark provides care and support for children and young people, from birth to age 19 years, who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition to enable them to live full lives and to achieve their aspirations. We aim to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible whilst their child or sibling is still alive and go on to face the future with hope after bereavement.

We are a charity based in North London. Our care is free to families but not free to provide and at present we need to raise £1.33 million annually to provide our vital services. Statutory funding accounts for less than 10% of our turnover. We provide a community and home-based service for families living in the London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington and in the near future will complete construction of a purpose-built children’s hospice facility to extend our services.
