Would you like to support your local children’s hospice by becoming a volunteer?

Haven House Children’s Hospice provides a range of support to life-limited children and their families to support them through the most difficult circumstances imaginable. This includes planned respite, short break and end-of-life care, as well as services designed to improve emotional and physical wellbeing.

Haven House relies on a team of volunteers to run our shops and we are currently recruiting volunteers for our Crouch End shop. Volunteering is great fun, and many volunteers also benefit by building up valuable work experience, to help secure new employment in the future. Other volunteers gain great satisfaction from putting their existing experience or professional skills to good use by donating their talents to our hospice.

We welcome volunteers whatever your experience and rely on your help to run our Crouch End charity shop. Most shop volunteers come in for one or two sessions each week to fit around their other responsibilities.

Shop volunteers help with all aspects of the day to day running of the shop so you could be asked to help out with any of the following activities;

  • Serving customers at the till point
  • Sorting through donations
  • Cleaning bric-a-brac
  • Pricing and hanging clothes
  • Helping with shop displays
