N21 Festival 2017

N21 festival

A further meeting has been held, again with the original “core” people, but encouragingly this time with many new faces.

It is recognised that this Festival will require a reasonable build up period for a well considered publicity campaign, together with a fund raising plan.  As stated in our last article, if it is to be held on its preferred site on The Green, then the closure of the surrounding roads is in itself costly and we do not this time have the benefit of a grant from the Residents’ Priority Fund.

We will therefore be looking for considerable funding, asking local businesses for sponsorship and individuals for possible donations to fill this gap.  Clearly the letting of stalls and exhibition space will provide some income but we hope the local support, bearing in mind the massive local attendance previously experienced, will help us.

So put the date “SATURDAY 8th JULY 2017” in your diary and look out for all publicity.  Perhaps you can help us by delivering leaflets or placing advertisements or articles in local publications.  We would clearly need to monitor the content of all material.  Please let us know if you can help by contacting us at n21.net or n21.Festival.

The Residents’ Association are committed supporters of these events on The Green but it must be understood that we do support other activities elsewhere, such as The Firs Firm Wetlands Project, The Woodcroft Wildlife Trust, The Retention of Street Trees and The Pursuance of Quality and Neighbourliness in all developments, big and small, throughout the Association Area from Firs Lane to Oakwood Park and from Bourne Hill to Green Dragon Lane.
