Epic Explorers at St James Church
Offer Your Kids Something Truly Valuable This Easter
With the Easter holidays fast approaching, keeping the children entertained will be near the top of most parents’ agendas.
Alongside spending some down time at home, meeting up with friends and lots of time in the open air enjoying the warm spring sunshine (we hope!), this might also include choosing from a range of activities on offer in the holidays which nurture our children’s physical, social and intellectual well-being. At Easter this year, why not consider something which offers your children a chance to explore something else enriching while having fun and making new friends?
St James Church is running an Easter Holiday club from Tuesday 31 March to Thursday 2 April from 9.30am to 12.30pm each day. The club is aimed at primary school age children so if your children are between 4 – 11 years and would like to come they are very welcome!
Ashley Nichols is the new Children’s Minister at St James and will be heading up all the activities and teaching for the week. He says:
“I’m really looking forward to our club this year which is called ‘Epic Explorers’. We hope that lots of children from our local community will come and join us as we go on a journey and explore the life of Jesus together. The children will be invited to join a cast of characters on an exciting island adventure filled with games, activities and Bible stories that will help them discover more about Jesus and the Christian faith.”
Ashley continues: “It’s a great opportunity for children to spend time with their friends and take part in range of activities – music, drama, games and much more. During the week we’ll also offer children a chance to explore faith and to reach beyond themselves into the bigger questions of life that children often love to ask. As a church, we believe the best thing we can offer to kids is faith because it gives hope, purpose and direction.”
EPIC EXPLORERS HOLIDAY CLUB will run from Tuesday 31 March to Thursday 2 April, 9.30am – 12.30pm at St James church. All children from 4 – 11 years (reception to year 6) are welcome. To register for the club or for more information please contact: [email protected]
