Change to the 134 bus route

Despite a strong campaign by the MHFGA, Transport for London have decided to go ahead with the planned curtailment of the 134 bus route. From 15th June 2019, the 134 bus will terminate at Warren Street (University College Hospital) and will therefore no longer serve stops south of Warren Street, down to Tottenham Court Road. Journeys to Tottenham Court Road can still be made easily by bus, by changing onto the 24 or 29 bus anywhere between Camden Town and Warren Street.

Furthermore, Transport for London has announced that travellers will not be made ‘out of pocket’ due to having passed the 1 hour Hopper Fare time limit. They have confirmed that when changes are made between the 134 and 24, or 134 and 29 routes if the 1-hour time limit is breached, the Oyster or Contactless card which was used will be refunded £1.50 at the end of the week.

MHFGA is your local residents’ association (since 1948!) We produce six bi-monthly Newsletters per year, which are distributed to over 770 members. Membership for households is just £10 per year and gives you the chance to attend our special events, such as our recent guided tour of Lauderdale House. Each summer we hold the popular ‘Odd One Out’ competition, and our Christmas Charity Tombola has raised almost £800 for local causes. To join MHFGA and be kept up to date on local issues and our planned activities, visit www.mhfga.org/membership or email our Membership Secretary on [email protected]
