2019 Membership Offer

Why not consider joining your local residents’ association – now is definitely the right time! When you sign up for a year, for just £10 per household, you will receive free membership until 1st May 2019. This means your membership will last all the way until 30th April 2020, for just £10.

Members receive six bi-monthly newsletters full of information about the Association’s wide and varied activities in the local community; regular email updates with news and developments relating to the local area; and invitations to events, talks, tours and an annual guided walk. Additionally, as we are the local residents’ association, we are happy to take up planning, environment, transport and conservation matters on behalf of our members.

You can join via our website: www.mhfga.org/membership – or feel free to send an email to our membership secretary at [email protected] – who can help to arrange payment by other means.

Upcoming Meetings in March, April and May!

On Thursday 11th April we have arranged for the Sunshine Garden Centre to give a talk at North Bank (Muswell Hill Methodist Church), 28 Pages Lane, N10 1PP. The talk will start at 7.30pm and is sure to contain plenty of green-fingered tips and tricks so come armed with your questions!

We are holding our AGM on Thursday 16th May, from 7.45pm onwards. This time we have booked the ‘Common House’ at Woodside Square, the new residential development which sits between Woodside Avenue and Grand Avenue. It is a lovely venue so please do come along and hear about our achievements over the last year. As usual, food and drink will be served.

Connecting our members with crucial public services

At MHFGA we are proud of our role in the local community, acting as an effective line of communication between our members and the services they rely on every day. We helped set up a major public meeting with Haringey Police on Friday 22nd February, which many of readers will have attended. We also gave our members the chance to feedback their concerns to Haringey Council about unfairness and inequality in the borough, via the Fairness Commission, which we were asked to participate in, as the residents’ association for the area.

MHFGA is your local residents’ association (since 1948!) We produce six bi-monthly Newsletters per year, which are distributed to over 750 members. Membership for households is just £10 per year and gives you the chance to attend our special events, such as our recent guided tour of Highgate Cemetery. Each summer we hold the popular ‘Odd One Out’ competition, and our Christmas Charity Tombola has raised almost £800 for local causes. To join MHFGA and be kept up to date on local issues and our planned activities, visit www.mhfga.org/membership or email our Membership Secretary on [email protected]
