Term Time Movie Making Classes

Weekly movie making classes for children and teenagers.

Young movie makers develop confidence, creativity, and a wealth of lifelong skills, all whilst having fun and building friendships.

In Sparks’ term time movie making classes, children and teenagers discover new passions, explore their creativity, learn a wealth of valuable skills and enjoy expressing their personalities.

The classes are ideal for children and teenagers (ages 7-18) with an existing interest in filmmaking, or those looking to find something new and different to inspire their imagination.

Each class is practical, interactive and lots of fun. Sessions are led by members of the Sparks workshop team, highly trained filmmakers/artist-educators who are passionate to share their knowledge with the next generation.

The young movie makers delve into every aspect of filmmaking, from developing stories to directing, camera work, design, special fx, sound and editing. The whole process incorporates lots of different creative skills and throughout there is plenty of opportunities to contribute ideas, imagination and practical know-how.

At the end of each term, the young movie makers share their productions in a special screening. They proudly present their work in a family screening presentation, where parents can see their child’s interest develop, as well as their confidence growing each term.
