What are you listening to right now?
I am loving The Corrs new album at the moment… and I love listening to my influences like P!nk, U2, Lady Antebellum…. always like a good sing along!
How did you get into music?
I grew up in quite a musicial family, my Grandad was in a Jazz band, and my uncle was a musician/musical director and my Mum played piano. So music has aways been an influence growing up. I did a lot of local shows & UK dance competitions from a young age. After my professional training at ‘Stella Mann College of performing arts’ in London I went on to travel the world performing professionally as a Dancer, Singer & Actress for several years, but I have always been interested in crossing over in to the music industry as I have always had a great passion for songwriting, so over a period of time I started collaborating more and more with musicians, songwriters & producers, and the last few years I have been really developing my sound & focusing on my career as an artist and singer songwriter.
Who do you follow religiously on Twitter?
I follow all kinds of people really, no one in particular… I mainly like to keep up to date with anything related to the entertainment world, music, film, tv, fashion and the News….
What have you been reading lately?
To be honest I really should read a lot more… but I never seem to find much time lately. I do like fictional books like Lord of the Rings & Harry Potter… Although I will read a good magazine when I’m travelling or I’ll read articles on my newsfeeds on my phone or computer….
Who is the most influential person in your life?
Definitely my parents, as they have always been very supportive all through my life and they have given me lots of encouragement in what I do.
Which song do you wish you had written?
This is so hard to choose…. there are many classics I like…. but one song I have always really loved is ‘I still haven’t found what I’m looking for ‘ by U2…. I like the lyrical content, clever songwriting and inspirational music & melodies… to me I would say it is up there with all the worlds greatest songs.
We’re at the bar. What are you drinking?
I like a nice glass of rose or red wine…. or the occassional bitter shandy on a nice summers day!! 🙂
Who would you dread getting stuck in a lift with?
Well…. I’m not a huge fan of lifts so I always try to take the stairs if I can… LOL… but if I did then I would dread being stuck in a lift with a wasp, as they absolutely freak me out!!! hehe
What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was really young I wanted to be a vet when I grew up, as I love animals…. but then when I realised a vets job could get quite squeamish I thought again…hehe… so it’s music and entertainment all the way for me for sure!!!
If you could change one thing about London, what would it be?
London is great, I really love the atmosphere but one thing I would change if I could is making the house prices more affordable….
What gigs, songs or albums are you promoting at the moment?
At the moment I am promoting my debut single ‘ Time To Stop The Rain’, which is releasing August 15th 2016, followed by my 2nd single in October and I am working towards the release of my debut album early part of 2017 featuring lots of great collaborations.
