Film Review – SECRET CINEMA: STRANGER THINGS – 3.5 stars

Granted, this isn’t traditional cinema, but Secret Cinema’s first foray into live interactive TV is an event worth experiencing. The ‘cinema’ bit of the evening is a strict secret but it’s an experience that echoes the very fabric of Stranger Things – the global TV sensation that has single-handedly rejuvenated a love of all things 80s. You’ll need that fandom if you go to Secret Cinema, as they have transformed a top secret London location into Starcourt Mall, complete with shops, eateries, bars and a few surprises thrown in too. If interactive fun is your thing, this event dutifully obliges with a cast of extras who never break character throughout the night. It’s not cheap but if you adore Stranger Things then you’ll have a memorable time.
