Film Review: The Sisters and Brothers – 2.5 stars

Posted on 16 April, 2019 by in Film Reviews

Movie scene

It’s 1850s Oregon, and a famous duo of assassins Eli (John C. Reilly) and Charlie (Joaquin Phoenix) Sisters have been hired by a powerful businessman named the Commodore (Rutger Hauer) to assassinate Hermann Kermit Warm (Riz Ahmed), a man accused of stealing his intellectual property. John Morris (Jake Gyllenhaal), a detective, is already working on the case and soon the four men find themselves getting involved in the gold rush. A subversive western, which has a lot of potential but gets needlessly bogged down by quirk and insignificance.
