Knives Out Film Review by Jason Palmer

Christmas is fast approaching, but that doesn’t mean the cinematic world is slowing down one bit. This month we have an amazing and eclectic selection of treats for you so let’s take a look at what’s on offer.
FILM OF THE MONTH: KNIVES OUT – 4 stars (out 27th Nov)
Credit: Lionsgate
A deliciously dark and humorous streak runs throughout writer/director Rian Johnson’s delightfully entertaining whodunit. A staggeringly-good ensemble including Ana de Armas, Don Johnson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, Michael Shannon, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford and Christopher Plummer all have fun with the tale, as a famed author is found dead at his mansion. With the whole household all carrying a motive, it’s up to the local police and a special consultant to crack the case. Everyone has a chance to shine here, the plot and pacing always keeps you on your toes and this is all genuinely surprising, which in this day and age seems impossible. Add a scene-stealing turn by Daniel Craig as the southern-drawled Benoit Blanc, and you have one of the best films of the year.
