The Music Connection: Nathalie Miranda

Nathalie Miranda

Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read the latest edition of ‘The Music Connection’. For this edition, I interviewed Nathalie Miranda, who is a singer from North London, and is keeping extremely busy on the UK music circuit.

So Nathalie, how did you first get into the music industry?

I always loved to sing, but I was so shy as a child, that I would only sing in my room! But, I always knew that singing is what I wanted to do. I eventually plucked up the courage to sing in public at a karaoke night of all places when I was 15 years old, and the response I received was so positive, it drove me to pursue my dream.

My first showcase was at the age of 20, and it was the first time I had performed my own original material. I was totally hooked from that point. I knew that I had to make music and singing my career. I love it & I couldn’t be without it at all!

What do you think are your biggest achievements within the music industry so far?

All the performances I have done over the years and the amazing people I have met, that have encouraged me and helped me along the way.

What projects are you up to at the moment?

At the moment, I am working on several collaborations with other artists, one of whom is a big name DJ (I can’t reveal his name at the moment though!). I also front a function band called ‘The Breakfast Club’, and we are busy preparing for a summer of gigs and events.

Where can people check out your current projects? Any forthcoming gigs?

You can find all links to social media and see what I’m up to, on my website at www.nathaliemiranda.com.  All forthcoming gigs will be listed there too.

What do you think the future holds in store for you as an artist?

Honestly, I have no idea! But I am going to continue singing everywhere I can, making new contacts, learning new skills and just doing my thing really!

Favourite music artists?

I have so many influences, but I’d say probably Freddie Mercury, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Bon Jovi, and Michael Jackson. But the list is endless!

What do you like getting up to on your days off from music?

More music? Haha, well I love to dance. I taught Zumba for nearly 5 years, so I’m a huge fan of Latin American rhythms. I also love ballet.

What are your links with Crouch End?

I’m a Crouch End local and I also have many friends in Crouch End, so I’ve been going out in the area for years. There’s a lot to do in Crouch End, so you’ll often find me down there, either going for a drink or going out for dinner.

Final words to the people of North London?

Thank you for reading this article and please take a look at my website and follow me if you like what you hear and see! Send me a message if you have any questions or would like to know more about me!
