How did you get into music?
Through the London club scene. I first started recording around 10 years ago and played my first gig at the Vauxhall Tavern in 2005. I trained as an actor and all round performer at Sylvia Young Theatre School and then studied Contemporary Dance and more Performance Art related stuff at University so my background was a fusion of the really commercial training and then the artistic and slightly left of the middle and I think that really sums up both my music and my onstage persona .My introduction to music came through me wanting to perform yet do something that allowed me to create and utilise all my abilities. It happened very naturally and organically. I started recording at a studio in Finsbury Park with a friend of mine who was a musician.I would go into the studio the day after a night out armed with ideas that I had heard the night before from DJs. I always would go to the clubs where people would dress up and create a look and where the music was always edgy. It was almost an education. I moved to London from a small conservative town in Yorkshire and didn’t come here to hang out in bars and clubs that resemble everything else the length of the UK. I wanted unique London experiences and so places like Boombox,The Cock and The Nag Nag Nag where among my favourites at the time
