What are you listening to right now?  

James Taylor live album.

How did you get into music?

I was born a musician. Started playing piano when I was four of my own volition. Studied music to degree level and was already a professional musician by then.

Who do you follow religiously on Twitter?

Al Murray tweeted me the other day. Interesting and funny guy!

What have you been reading lately?

The Man Who Wanted To Be Happy by Laurent Gounelle. Great book – recommended.

Who is the most influential person in your life? 

I’m married – my wife.

Which song do you wish you had written?

I Want To Know What Love Is – Foreigner

We’re at the bar. What are you drinking? 

A beer.

Who would you dread getting stuck in a lift with?


What did you want to be when you grew up?

A musician.

What are you looking forward to this summer?

World Cup.

What gigs, songs or albums are you promoting at the moment?

New single called Magic which also includes a cover of Rick Astley’s Cry For Help and later this year a special tribute song to The Armed Forces called You Are Not Fallen which I’ll be performing to 20,000 people at The National Memorial Arboretum for Ride To The Wall charity in October.
