Decided last month to listen to my whole iTunes library in alphabetical order, not allowed to forward any song that comes on regardless if I like it or not. Last song played is Bobby Womack’s If you think you’re lonely now. So I’m still on B…. Phew
How did you get into music?
I started off playing drums in church when I was 4 years old and maybe when I was 7 or 8, I would always change the song lyrics of any song that I liked at the time to fit whatever it was going through at the time which was mostly the pain of Arsenal losing as opposed to some girl breaking my heart hehe. Then I wrote poems and sold them in school to guys who wanted to write something in their girls birthday or valentine day card for a fiver. Then I met up with the rest of the band and decided that I want to listen to my own songs alongside a Fela or Bob Marley song, so we started writing. The more we performed, the more addicted to performing we became so we just decided to travel and perform to the whole world. Only way to do that was to get our music to everyone so they come see us when we’re in their town.
Who do you follow religiously on Twitter?
Well mostly my friends because they’re really stupid and insightful. I do follow Jonathan Ross but most famous people bore me. I wish I had a better answer for you. Sorry.
What have you been reading lately?
Just read Wild Seed by Octavia Butler. Her imagination is incredible. Just ordered her other 8 books of Amazon. She’s that good. Whilst waiting for them I’m going to read Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell or Lynch’s Road by D.D Armstrong.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
Probably my Mum and my older brother Peter. They’re just kind generous souls and a constant reminder to be good to people.
Which song do you wish you had written?
Rainbow Country by Bob Marley. That song just makes me happy. And Poison by Nas.
Does God exist?
Yessir. I dunno if He exists in the same way most religions say He does but I know there’s a Creator that guides me. Life is way too complicated and intricately interwoven for me to believe that this is all just a lucky coincidence and not part of a greater design.
We’re at the bar. What are you drinking?
Strictly fruit juice. So unRockRoll I know but I don’t drink. If you could invent a Mary Jane drink then this round’s on me!
Who would you dread getting stuck in a lift with?
Smelly unhygienic flatulent people hahaha.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A surgeon. My Mum is still pissed
What song will you have played at your funeral?
Dreadlock Holiday by 10cc and Concrete Jungle by my Uncle Bob. After all the women cry their hearts out at the loss of the best lover they ever had, I want everyone to feel good knowing I lived a good life.
What gigs, songs or albums are you promoting at the moment?
Our EP Glow in the Dark. A great introduction to the madness that is the world of FuzzyLogicBaby.
How can we find out more about you?
Go on our website www.fuzzylogicbaby.com and like us on Facebook, follow us on twitter (@fuzzylogicbaby). Might be easier to stalk me though…
