Make a magical horror movie this October Half Term

‘Spellbound’ is a half term movie making camp for children aged 7-11.

It’s an action-packed few days, designed to inspire creativity, imagination and fill the holidays with a sense of magical mischief.

Young movie makers devise and produce their own production, full of special effects wizardry. The workshop includes lots of movie making. Children taking part will learn skills both behind and in front of the camera, as well as how to produce some incredible magic-themed special effects.

“She’s had such an incredible experience, she’s so inspired. She’s been showing me all the things she’s learned at home and has started making videos – properly! – on her iPad.”

The children work as a film crew, under guidance from our team of filmmaking workshop leaders. They’ll explore how to produce a movie from scratch, developing skills as directors, photographers, actors and more. Alongside lots of magical visual effects, they will also learn how to craft a dramatic magical horror movie. The end result will be a spellbinding movie production to share with family and friends.

On the last day, there is a special presentation for the children to share their work with family and friends. Everyone receives a copy of the movie to enjoy at home and to add to their portfolios.

Courses run 21-25 October (with options for 3-5 days) at Highgate Primary and Heathside Prep
